USY

AIUSY (Adath Israel United Synagogue Youth) is a group (grades 9 - 12) affiliated with The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.  AIUSY is part of the Central Region United Synagogue Youth (CRUSY).

USY is run by an elected board of students from the synagogue.  There are many opportunities for students to get involved and help plan and run different aspects of the chapter while developing strong leadership skills.  Participation in USY allows students to do Tzedakah, learn about Israel, experience Jewish holidays, get involved in the synagogue and socialize with other Jewish teens.  Throughout the tear, students participate in CRUSY conventions, which take place throughout the Midwest.

The conventions are filled with singing, laughing, dancing, and unbelievable amounts of fun.  USY is a connection to Judaism beyond just praying.  It’s interesting and meaningful for teenagers.  The combination of intellectual and spiritual exploration with friends and intense fun makes USY the ideal place for Jewish high school students to be.

USY is a place for Jewish teenagers to connect and make lifelong relationships.  On a chapter level, there are several events each month that allows students to come together and have lots of fun.  Some events involve Jewish studies, some involve Israel, some involve social action, and some involve just going out and having a blast.  Whatever the event involves, USY’ers are always with their friends.
